Jones was one of the younger quarterbacks in his first 18 starts. He is top quarter in rushing stats. Jones ranks above average in passing yards, passing touchdowns and completion percentage. He is bottom quarter in sacks and last in fumbles lost. His yards per pass attempt is low compared to his peers. Jones 31 turnovers thru 18 games is two less than Peyton Manning had in his first 18 starts.

This season Jones leads the Giants in rushing yards and rushing yards per attempt. His 7.56 rushing yards per attempt on 27 attempts is the highest among all quarterbacks with 15+ attempts. His 204 rushing yards is third most among quarterbacks this season.

Against Washington Jones had a 23 yard passing touchdown to Darius Slayton. Jones is tie at fourth in passing plays of 21+ yards that resulted in a touchdown with 13 plays over the 2019-2020 seasons.

A big game this week against the Eagles on Thursday night. The last time Daniel Jones played the Eagles he was sacked four times and had two turnovers. The score was tie at 17 going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter a fumble by Jones gave the Eagles the ball at the Giants two yard line for a following easy touchdown. A later turnover on downs gave the ball to the Eagles at the Giants 38 for a short field. That drive resulted in a touchdown.

The latest is that Sterling Shepard may be back for the Thursday game. If the Giants can have Shepard, Slayton, Tate and Engram all back that would bode well.

It’s Monday night! Go Cardinals! Go Giants!
