Forty-Eight Days To The start Of Preseason

Since the Hall Of Fame Game has been cancelled due to the virus, the clock to the unofficial start of the NFL season is reset. It now stands as of yesterday at 48 days to August 13th the first day of preseason games. The number 48 is also the highest number of points scored by a Giant player that was not a kicker in 2019, That honor goes to both Saquon Barkley and Darius Slayton both whom scored 48 points in 2019,

The Giants are one of only eight teams that have on their projected 2020 roster two players that scored 48+ points in 2019, The other teams are the Ravens, Cowboys, Lions, Titans, Saints, Seahawks and Buccaneers. In total 24 teams have at least one player that scored 48+ points and eight teams have no players on their 2020 roster that scored 48+ points in 2019.

There are only twelve wide receivers among the 32 players that scored 48+ points in 2019. Darius Slayton ranks third among those twelve in points per offensive snap. He trails only Titans A.J.   Brown and Lions Kenny  Golladay.

The eight teams with no players that scored 48+ points are the Bears, Chiefs, Raiders, Patriots, Jets, Eagles, Steelers and Washington.

Running back Derrick  Henry on the Titans was second in least amount of plays to score a point. He scored the94 points  third highest points with 108 on just 589 snaps. He is closely followed at third by Packer running back Aaron  Jones with 114 points on 663 snaps.Running back Mark  Ingram on the Ravens had the most points per offensive snap among the 32 with 94 points on 504 snaps, His teammate tight end Mark  Andrews was fifth with 60 points on only 457 snaps.
