Here are Giant players that excel in a specific statistic for the 2020 season.

Sterling Shepard – Third down conversions

Shepard is clutch on third down. Since 2016 Shepard ranks 16th in the league in number of third down conversions. This season he is 33rd with having played only 11 games.  As of Dec 3rd, Shepard’s season 56.25% third down conversions to 3rd down targets percentage is 17th among 122 players with 10+ third down targets. Since 1994 the only Giant wide receiver with over 35 targets who had a higher 3rd down conversion percent was Steve Smith

Darius Slayton – Yards Before Catch per Reception

Slayton is sixth in the league among all players in yards before catch per reception with 12.1 yards.This helps him make tops on the Giants in first down receptions and 38th in the league.

Leonard Williams – QB Knockdowns

Williams is fifth in the league in quarterback knockdowns with 14. The helps him in making ninth in the league in pressures with 32. He is also sixth in the league in QB hits. Williams also ranks second among defensive tackles in sacks with 8.5.

Blake Martinez – Tackles

Martinez is third in the league in total tackles with 140. That averages out to over nine a game. He is also eighth in the league in solo tackles with 80.
