Giants Notes Following Week Ten

The Giants broke a losing streak to the Eagles going back to 2016 this past Sunday by defeating the Eagles 27-17. Here are a few notes on the Giants following the week ten game.

Daniel Jones thru his first 22 career starts is one of only eight quarterbacks since 1950 to have 5,100 passing yards, an 83 passer rating, 21 or less interceptions, a 6.1 adjusted yards per pass attempt and 32 passing touchdowns in their first 22 starts, Here is the list and he stands among all impressive quarterbacks.

His week ten performance tied for his highest completion percentage of his career. Three of his top seven career passer rating games were in the last four weeks. Four of his top eight games in adjusted yards per pass attempt have been in the last six weeks. Pro Football Focus has Daniel Jones graded at a very respectable 78.8 for 2020. His 93.1 passing grade from a clean pocket in Week 10 ranked first among quarterbacks. Jones now has a ninth-ranked 90.3 passing grade for the season when kept clean. When throwing over 10 yards downfield in 2020, Jones ranks fifth in the NFL in passing grade — behind only Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.

Darius Slayton ranks ninth in the league among wide receivers with over 30 targets in first downs per reception with 79% of his receptions making a first down. His 47% first downs per target ranks 20th. Sterling Shepard‘s 81% catch percentage ranks fourth among wide receivers with over 30 targets. Shepard is one of only 11 qualifying wide receivers with zero drops.

Wayne Gallman has four consecutive games with a rushing touchdown. That is the second longest active streak among running backs. Since starting in week eight Gallman leads the league in rushing touchdowns.

James Bradberry had two passes defended against the eagles and continues to lead the league in passes defended. Blake Martinez had four tackles and continues to lead the league in total tackles. Leonard Williams led the league in week ten with five quarterback hits. As of Sunday night the next highest player had two QB hits, Williams is tied at sixth in the league in quarterback hits this season, He is fourth among defensive tackles and only one short of first among defensive tackles.

Riley Dixon had a 71 yard punt in the Eagles game which was the second longest in the league this season,
