Giants Round Two 2021 Draft Prospects

Last week I posted Giants And 2021 Draft Round One Prospects , today I look at Round Two prospects in the 2021 draft for the Giants. Of course any Round One prospects from my prior post still available would also be on this list. For today’s post I tried to take one player from each position of need. player availability was based on the Fanspeak.com draft simulator.

S Andre Cisco

In 2018 Cisco had nine passes defended and seven interceptions, along with 46 solo tackles. Those numbers were  team market shares indicative of a potential All-Pro to Pro Bowl players since the 1989 NFL draft class. In 2019 he had similar team market share values for solo tackles and interceptions. He has a strong work ethic and it goes with elite ball production. Cisco is a ballhawk who is the active career leader in FBS interceptions with 13.

CB Eric Stokes

Stokes is number four in the NCAA in interceptions this season with three. He has two interceptions returned for touchdowns which is first in the NCAA. Stokes is fast, tall and has a strong work ethic and high football IQ.  .He allowed only a 40% completion percentage his 2018 redshirt freshman season.

LB Nick Bolton

Last season Nick Bolton had a 16.5% team market share of solo tackles. This year he is continuing with currently a 17.6% team market share. An 11.7% team market share is indicative of of a potential All-Pro to Pro Bowl players since the 1989 NFL draft class.In addition over the last two seasons he has ten passes defended and two interceptions. Bolton is Pro Football Focus’s third ranked linebacker in the 2021 draft class.

ED Joseph Ossai

Ossai is one of only two players that over 2019-2020 seasons has had 80+ solo tackles, 25+ tackles for loss and 9+ sacks. This season over his first five games he had 21 pressures. He is third in the NCAA in tackles for loss and forced fumbles.

OT Liam Eichenberg

As of the end of October, Liam’s 93 overall grade from Pro Football Focus was the third highest in the country. Liam is a three year starter at left tackle on the Notre Dame offensive line. He started all 13 games in 2018 when Notre Dame was a semi-finalist for the Joe Morrow Award given to the nation’s top offensive line.

TE Brevin Jordan

Last season Brevin Jordan had 495 receiving yards which was good for a 15.3% team market share. That percentage is indicative that 98% of long-term starting tight end players reached this level of market share production since 1969. Jordan is a monster in yards after the catch. 13 of his 35 receptions in 2019 (37 percent) included at least 10 yards of additional yardage after the catch. Thru September 9th this season Jordan was first among ACC tight ends in yards after the catch (313) and plays of 15+ yards (15).

WR Terrace Marshall Jr.

So far this season Marshall has a 32% team market share of receiving yards. 98% of long-term starting players reached this level of market share production since 1969. Marshall has nine receiving touchdowns in five games this season which is second in the nation. Last season he had 13 which was good for seventh in the nation. Marshall has size, speed and strength. He has outstanding ball skills and excels in contested catches. He is tie for ninth this season in receiving plays of 30+ yards with seven.Marshall had only two drops in 2019.

WR Tylan Wallace

In 2018 Wallace had 1,491 receiving yards which was a 37% team market share. That is indicative of 95% of 5-Time Pro Bowl players reached this level of market share production since 1969. This season Wallace is tie for 11th in receiving plays of 10+ yards with 25. This thru only six games which is 1-3 games less than all but one player ahead of him. Wallace is averaging 98 yards per game and 77% of his receptions have been for first down.As of September 30th this season Wallace was the ninth highest graded wide receiver in the nation out of 209. Wallace was one of three 2018 Biletnikoff Award finalists.
