NFL Draft Prospect Rankings Spreadsheet

I took a snapshot over the last two days (4/5-4/6) of prospect rankings on 13 big board lists. The lists were

nflmockdraftdatabase
thedraftnetwork
Pro Football Focus
Drafttek
the Huddle report value board
the huddle report Boyhart board
Lindy’s
Great Blue North
Gil Brandt
Ringer
Walter Football
Daniel Jeremiah
Pro Football Network

From those I got the prospects average rank, the high and the low. I computed their deviation of their high to their average. Based on the data in my view these are the safest picks for their expected slotting in the first round

Patrick Surtain CB
Avg 10.5

Trevon Moehrig S
Avg 23.5

Christian Barmore DT
Avg 30.2

Kadarius Toney WR
Avg 30.7

The highest Surtain was ranked was 16th. Only Sewell (12) and Justin Fields (14) had a lower high ranking. Pitts tied Surtain with a 16 high ranking. Surtain came in eighth with a low ranking of 4.

In the range of the Giants second round pick these are the potential prospects that appear the safest. Not all would be expected to be available as I took an 80% below and above the pick.

Wyatt Davis OL
Liam Eichenberg OT
Javonte Williams RB
Rondale Moore WR
Joseph Ossai ED
Asante Samuel CB
Creed Humphrey OC
Pat Freiermuth TE
Nick Bolton ILB

And for round three

Jackson Carman OT
Ronnie Perkins ED
Tylan Wallace WR
Dyami Brown WR
Aaron Robinson CB
Pete Werner OLB
Kelvin Joseph CB
Michael Carter RB
Tyler Shelvin DT
Amon-Ra St. Brown WR
Kenneth Gainwell RB
Tommy Togiai DT
Chazz Surratt lb
Quinn Meinerz OC/OG
Chatarius Atwell WR
Brevin Jordan TE
Cameron McGrone OLB
Paulson Adebo CB

In the spreadsheet I created a round sheet for each draft round the Giants pick. The prospects listed satisfy the formula that the deviation of their high position from their average position is less than the overall average for such deviations. Also for each round the average is within 80% and 120% of the Giants pick for that round. The sheets are sorted by number of blank rankings ascending and the Rank formula. You can sort however you like. The first sheet contains all the prospects. The rank formula on sheet one does not account for the round position. Therefore it is sorted on ascending average.

The spreadsheet is draft_prospects_2021_boards.

Here is a mock draft based on the spreadsheet

Patrick Surtain CB
Liam Eichenberg OT
Tylan Wallace WR
Kylin Hill RB
Jack Anderson OG
Tony Fields LB

I hope you find the spreadsheet interesting. Enjoy!
